having said that, kimura was the best fighter japan produced...and helio sure as hell was not the best fighter BJJ or brazi produced. he was just the archetype. kimura still rules anyway, and so does brazilian jiu jitsu..

Yes. Kimura really only had about 20 lbs on Helio. Defintely no more than 30. Helio was around 160 give or take, and Kimura was around 180 give or take.

Kimura's advantage was his credo: "Sanbai doryoku" - work three times harder than everyone else. He did.

The things about the fight isn't one between martial arts or anything. If you read how Kimura trains, you will understand why he could win all this. Conditioning matters.
