LoL at the interviewer. Yeah you are gonna spend all the money on a killer head and then put a small cam in it. :/

Nice video

i know you like to identify certain design attributes and say this is better or that's better, this is more sophisticated, etc. but it's the end results, whatever the engineers did with that particular engine, that matters - i'm sick of hearing all these kiddies say that the engine is simple and stupid when it does a fantastic job doing what it does

@jaydnisevil *Hee hee*..."Modability" works in my dictionary.
jaydnisevil (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Everybody has preferences :) Some people despise turbochargers, others sware by them. Depends what your after out of an engine. You want modabililty (yes I made up a word lol) and other people want reliability, fuel economy or high revvs etc. Well as car enthusiest, whatever makes our job easier yea ;)

@jaydnisevil Appreciate the honesty. I will say frankly, that I have my own personal biased concerning engines. I dont like overly heavy, mechanically over-complicated or awkwardly wide motors, reguardless of thier output. If it cant be swapped or modified and be reasonably cost effective, then I dont want it.
jaydnisevil (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Haha got me, I am biased. look at things like the merc engines, and the same capacity motor gets around 380kw unmodded. Tuned and exhaust they get around 450kw!! Your right though, not just the top figures, but the torques moutains higher. (DOHC with timing vs OHV) Petrol engines are glorified air pumps, technology just allows them to pump air more efficiently. Well Cross-compatability etc all come from numbers. If you stick with a style of motor, your bound to have lots of parts avaliable.

@331sbf Why? Because the both the 302 and LS cylinder heads use inline valves, or the LS block is skirted like a mod motor? Thats as justifiyable as comparing a platapus and a duck by virtue of thier bills. Your comparing chocolate to "shit", my friend. Just because they look similar dont mean that they have the same "taste". P.S. Mod motors suck
originaldriver (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@331sbf What the hell??? Where did you come up up with that bullshit. Thats like accusing God of imitating man.
originaldriver (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@jaydnisevil Not exactly "High tech"? Are we perhaps a bit biased? The internal combustion engine has operated on the same principle for the last 150 years. Despite what you think of as "high-tech", the only thing that matters in the end is results. Theyre might be quite a few "snazzier" engines about, BUT you are going to fail miserably at finding any other modern engine with the versatility, cross-compatability, upgradablility or cost effectiveness of the LS series motor.
